Most frequent questions and answers
Your first consultation can take up to 1 hour in duration because at Baysictechnique Physiotherapy we take our time in understanding your injury through a thorough 1-on-1 interview and objective testing to allow for an evidence based supported intervention to help you achieve your goals. Follow-up consultations however can take up to 30 minutes.

Yes, they must be accompanied with the appropriate doctor’s referral (Enhanced Primary Care referral).

Yes, we sure do. A HICAPS terminal is available in the clinic. Bring your health fund card with you for on-the-spot claims. If you do not have your health fund card, we can easily print you an invoice which you can directly take to your health insurance to claim your reimbursement.

We are open from 8am – 7pm Monday to Friday and from 8am – 2pm on Saturdays. Call to arrange a time that suits you.

In the clinic we offer an array of modalities including deep tissue massage, joint mobilisation, manual traction, dry needling, cupping, strapping/taping (Rigid or K-Tape) and vibration/percussive therapy (Theragun). We now also offer wet cupping (Hijama).

Absolutely not, you can attend out of your own accord from word of mouth, social media or via search engines. However, we do need a doctors referral with workers compensation, comprehensive third party (CTP), or medicare referrals.
Supporting documents from your doctor like scans (x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT scan), referral paperwork, doctor reports OR this can be any collected footage of pictures.
Loose and comfortable clothing around the site of injury is preferable. Appropriate draping is offered in the clinic.
You can expect a thorough 1-on-1 interview to understand your injury as a whole. This is then followed by objective testing manoeuvres to help assist us with the diagnosis you have. This is then followed by a treatment plan which may consist of education, hands on techniques and exercise interventions to help you achieve your goals.
Yes, they must be accompanied with a doctor’s referral to be brought in the clinic.
Yes, less than a 24-hour cancellation notice from the time of your appointment will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the consultation. This applies for follow-up consults as well.
